They are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Engineer with solid expertise in selling High-Performance Computing (HPC, including AI) solutions and, ideally, experience in emerging Quantum Technologies. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong willingness to learn, teamwork skills and the ability to bridge the gap between complex technical solutions and business value, driving adoption across research and academic institutions, government and enterprise sectors

Familiarity with European procurement processes and their stakeholders is highly desirable as this knowledge will be leveraged to build tailored proposals.

 

The candidate must possess excellent interpersonal skills, enabling effective interaction with internal teams (sales, presales, services, finance, business development), business partners and key decision-makers at customer organisations. He/she will be expected to lead the proposals together with the account manager in the account and with the support and collaboration of all the internal and external teams, including management.

High proficiency in German and English is required.

 

Core Competencies 

 

  • Sales and business development: Achieve the required sales and revenue targets winning deals through adequate knowledge and relationship with the customers and partners, leveraging consultative selling, strategic account management, and ecosystem partnerships
  • Teamwork development: Actively leverage collaboration with the Account manager, presales and services teams, and partners involved in each opportunity.
  • Solution design: Skilled in designing and understanding the optimal tailored solutions to be proposed, with the support of teams involved.
  • Industry and technical Knowledge:
    • HPC: knowledge and understanding of HPC architectures (GPU clusters, CPU-based supercomputers, cloud HPC, HPC networking, HPC management software, HPC storage, and of the main competitors (Lenovo, Dell, HPE, Eviden)
    • Quantum: Knowledge of of quantum computing paradigms (gate-based, annealing, hybrid), and simulation/emulation frameworks.
  • Develop and leverage the relationship with the HPC and Quantum Ecosystems to ensure the right commercial proposals:
    • HPC: Among others, Supermicro, Nvidia, AMD, Intel, Netapp, OpenNebula….
    • Quantum: Understand the roles of the client and competitors in the different areas (quantum computing, emulators, annealing, quantum communications).
  • Strategic partnerships: Develop and leverage relationships with key players in the country to participate in joint proposals requiring multiple Examples include large system integrators and telco companies, as well as other HW manufacturers such as Supermicro, Nvidia, AMD, Intel along with HPC SW and services providers.
  • Understanding of the framework to facilitate the preparation of complex HPC deals (such a AI factories).

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Achieve assigned sales and business
  • Collaborate with other sales teams and presales to identify potential customers, understand their requirements and propose tailored HPC and Quantum technologies
  • Establish trusted relationships with key stakeholders at customers to position the clients and the proposals effectively.
  • Build strong relationship with strategic partners to jointly present tailored proposals to
  • Participate in RFPs responses alongside the Account Manager and the broader the team, taking special care of the completeness of the proposal.
  • Propose PoCs for the different technologies as required.

 

Professional Background

 

  • Experience: 3+ years in HPC sales roles and interest to expand it to quantum Desirable knowledge of European processes
  • Education: Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related.
