The Role: AI Product Engineer

Salary – up to £150k + 100% bonus

London – Hybrid

We are recruiting for our client, and exceptional AI Product Engineers who can operate at the intersection of cutting-edge AI technology and real-world business impact. This isn’t about building demos or proofs-of-concept. You will own end-to-end development of production AI systems serving actual customers at scale from day one.

What You’ll Do

Own the full stack & product lifecycle
▪ Architect and build production-grade AI applications from zero to one
▪ Design systems that handle enterprise-scale data and millions of users from day one
▪ Implement everything from model serving infrastructure to polished user interfaces
▪ Make critical technical decisions balancing innovation with reliability
▪ Ship with velocity: build like a startup, scale like an enterprise

Solve AI’s hardest problem: real-world deployment
▪ Navigate the complexity of implementing AI in messy, regulated, legacy-filled enterprise environments
▪ Build solutions that work with imperfect data, demanding SLAs, and complex stakeholder requirements
▪ Transform cutting-edge research into revenue-generating products, not demos
▪ Tackle technically challenging problems across fintech, enterprise SaaS, B2B services and more

Operate as a serial product builder
▪ Lead product development across multiple portfolio companies and industries
▪ Hone your skills across different verticals in 9-18 month sprints
▪ Build institutional knowledge about what makes AI products succeed or fail
▪ Own the entire AI product lifecycle from ideation to production

Collaborate with industry leaders
▪ Work directly with the C-Suite of $100M+ revenue companies
▪ Partner with exited founders and world-class engineering teams
▪ Learn from clients network of software investors and operators across the Atlantic
▪ Compress 10 years of enterprise AI learning into two through direct mentorship

Who You Are

Technical Excellence
▪ Strong engineering fundamentals with 5+ years building AI production systems
▪ Comfortable with infrastructure (K8s, cloud platforms), backend (Python, FASTapi) and front-end (React, TypeScript)
▪ Hands-on experience with modern AI/ML frameworks and deployment patterns, including GenAI ▪ Track record of shipping products that scale to thousands of users

Execution Velocity
▪ Demonstrated ability to ship fast without sacrificing quality
▪ Experience in high-growth startups or equally fast-paced environments ▪ Comfortable with ambiguity and rapid iteration
▪ Strong opinions, loosely held: able to make decisions with incomplete information

Product & Business Acumen
▪ Intuition for what makes products valuable to users
▪ Ability to translate between technical complexity and business value
▪ Experience working directly with customers and stakeholders
▪ Understanding of enterprise software dynamics is a plus
